Privacy Policy
This page explains what personal data Swiss Transmedia Network collects, why, and what rights you have. Swiss Transmedia Network is operated by Blindflug Studios AG — see our legal notice for contact details.
What we collect
We keep two kinds of data apart:
- Private account data — your login email, your consent record, and internal moderation notes. This is never shown publicly, and is only visible to administrators reviewing submissions.
- Public directory data — everything you choose to submit for your profile: name, description, role, location, links, images, and the categories you select. This is published on the site once approved. A public contact email is shown only if you enter one separately from your login email and confirm it.
Why we process it
We process your account email so you can log in (a one-time link, no password) and so we can contact you about your submissions. We process the directory data you submit because you asked us to publish it — you give explicit consent before your first submission, and can withdraw it at any time by requesting deletion (see below).
Review before publication
New entries and changes to published entries are reviewed by an administrator before they go live. Your submission may be briefly visible to Blindflug staff before it appears publicly, or if changes are requested.
Where your data is stored
- Account and directory data: hosted on servers in Switzerland.
- Images you upload: stored on AWS servers in the EU (Frankfurt).
- Login and notification emails: sent via Resend, an email delivery service.
Error monitoring
Where enabled, we use Sentry to detect and fix technical errors. Personal data such as names, email addresses, passwords, and access tokens is automatically removed from error reports before they are sent.
Feedback widget
If you use the feedback button to report a problem, the description, screenshot, or screen recording you provide — together with basic technical details like your browser and operating system — is sent to a private repository accessible only to the development team, so the issue can be fixed.
Cookies
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Your login session and your light/dark theme preference are stored in your browser's local storage, not in cookies, and are used only to operate the site for you.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account or entry is active, or as long as needed to comply with legal obligations. You can request deletion at any time.
Your rights
- See and edit your public directory data at any time from your dashboard.
- Request deletion of an individual entry — reviewed by a super-administrator, who archives it rather than deleting it silently, so the decision stays traceable.
- Request deletion of your whole account from your account settings.
- Ask us what data we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by writing to the address in our legal notice.
If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the register evolves. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
